Welcome back to LAS Underground. An extension of the Longworth-Anderson Series, LAS Underground celebrates Cincinnati's rich contemporary music scene by connecting audiences with exceptional regional artists in intimate, one-of-a-kind venues. Every performance is an opportunity to discover new sounds, support local talent, and experience the creative spirit that makes our city so unique. We're proud to relaunch the series in partnership with Radio Artifact, whose dedication to original music and local artists makes them the perfect collaborator for this next chapter. Join us on September 18, 2026, for a special performance by Mic. Carr & Shades and get to know one of Cincinnati's standout musicians before their return as the official pre-concert performer for the Longworth-Anderson Series' Soul, Roots, and Fire concert featuring Ana Popovic, Amythyst Kiah, and Vanessa Collier at Memorial Hall on April 8, 2027.

Shades is a live-instrument soul and alternative R&B band founded by songwriter and artist Mic. Carr. Blending thoughtful storytelling with warm, organic instrumentation, the group creates music rooted in resilience, reflection, and mature optimism. Their debut single, “Shades,” introduces the band’s message that hard times do not break us—they shape us—setting the tone for their upcoming EP of the same name.
